Our team in collaboration with community partners and organizations provided various forms of public health education and support to the public during the COVID-19 pandemic. We utilized our model: Tele-Public Health Education to raise awareness about the coronavirus and its prevention through innovative initiatives. Our organization supported over 20 digital events, panels and series during the pandemic.
The current COVID-19 crisis forced many people to stay at home and adhere to social distancing guidelines as recommended by CDC. While this situation creates a challenge for reaching people through traditional methods for health education, it also inspires the creation and utilization of innovative strategies to provide health education during a crisis.

These powerful data points suggest that telehealth delivery during a pandemic is likely the most feasible and effective method of communication with the largest segment of the population.
In collaboration with the Kurdish American Medical Association and other community partners, we launched the COVID-19 Tele-Public Health Education to provide formal series of public health education to raise awareness about COVID-19 through engaging and innovative live streaming events including health experts, community members and individual who either fighting on the frontline or experienced the infections themselves,.

- 81% of US adults own smartphone and over 95% own cell phone
- 9 out of 10 US adults use the internet
- 76% of Americans say they have used email or messaging services to communicate with others
- 72% of Americans use some type of social media with facebook (69%) and youtube (73%) being the most common.
- 70% report that they have searched online for information about the coronavirus
